It doesn't matter how many people saw it, one or a thousand. It's the disrespect to our flag and country and those that have fought for our freedoms that is most bothersome.

You have completely missed my entire original point Biggin'. Go back and re-read,and see if you can comprehend please? The point was (again) that you guys made a point to rail on the kids from Wise, took a holier than though attitude, talked about how inappropriate things like that would never happen at PV...etc Well guess what chap? It has. AGAIN kudos to the admins from PV if they are handling this, and I have made my stance clear on the fact that had I been in position at JJK how things would have been handled. The admins from PV should be commended if they are dealing with this (folks from JJK HS should take notes),but nothing changes the act. Take off the shades and quit being hypocritical Biggin'. The kid from PV made a mistake/did something stupid according to you. Hey if that works for you all, then that should work for us (bottom line is that it works in neither case)
It was stupid, plain and simple, that's it. If he was suspended, that's exactly what should have happened, pretty moronic to call for juvie or anything like that for this. Honestly, I have a hard time believing anyone was so damaged by this, everyone in the stands had probably already seen a **** some time or another. And you guys are acting like this was a act of terrorism, take symbols and worship them, why weren't all those great patriots looking at the **** flag like they're supposed to be? Give me a break, the anthem thing has nothing to do with it, wow. I'd bet it was done during that time because everyone is SUPPOSED to be looking away. It was dumb, give the kid a break, he was suspended like he should have been...not hanged from the highest tree for treason.
I do not believe in any shape, form,or fashion that the kid should go to juvie. As far as damaged by this? A person has a right to not see that (it's not like accidentally walking up on a man taking a whizz in the woods). The anthem thing is what made it worse R13,and you are right R13-it was dumb (just like the kids from JJK were when they participated in THE VERY MINOR PIDDLY LITTLE SHOVING MATCHES -trying Biggin's approach here)
HE didnt attack someone, go at someone with physical harm as intent. You are trying too hard to put this on PV. It was ONE kid who did something very stupid, but to say its the same as fighting or PHYSICAL ALTERCATIONS is ridiculous.
No, I said PV would never be involved in a full out brawl or play like JJK did in b-ball.
They are HS kids, they do stupid stuff all the time. But you are trying to justify the JJK incident because a PV kid pulled his **** out. They are NOT the same, no matter how much you try to make it seem like they are. Its simply not the same.
Let me ask you this, and answer this question only, no BS rhetoric or completely avoiding my point, answer this question.
Which is worse, me pulling my **** out at you, or me shoving you to the ground?
(This is not about the JJK incident. Its a hypothetical situation, just answer the question.)
How in the hell did I miss this epic thread? It has lulz all in it. Good work fellas.
Biggin, the question you are asking me is 100% a matter of both opinion and perspective. Pulling out your talleywacker and shoving someone are BOTH wrong. You may ask one person which is worse/would rather see and get a different answer from the next. The bottom line is that all of these incidents happened because young kids didn't think, and all these incidents caused embarrassment and shame to the schools and communities. The lesson to be learned of course is to be careful about condemming kids from one place, because in time (and it always inevitably does) one of your own is going to screw up as well. They are kids after all,and the folks on here (you and me included) forget that sometimes.
I agree about condeming kids, im always the person who is against condeming kids for making stupid mistakes, PV kids or not .You know that, you've read my posts. Kids make mistakes, they are young they are gonna do that. No kid should be thrown under the bus, unless its an extreme situation. But I do not feel this is a big a deal as you guys are making it out to be. Its a kid doing something stupid, its not unusual.
The difference is it was just one PV kid doing something stupid, and you are comparing it to a few kids doing something stupid that could potentially really hurt someone, which the PV kid did not. He did not harm anyone, maybe offended some but no one got hurt.
Its not okay, its stupid and ridiculous, I'm not making excuses for it, he will be punished mightily, at home and at school. I already stated that he was booted off the team, is that not punishment enough?
And I dont want to start the fight back up, but JJK never punished their kids, and I am glad you realize that PV did the right thing by punishing him and that JJK was in the wrong for not disciplining their kids.
But its not a matter of opinion, physical altercations could lead to someone getting seriously hurt, while this was a stupid prank that people happened to see. I thought it was only one person, maybe I was wrong, but no one can get hurt from seeing a **** haha
